Our team: David Robinson
Fladgate LLP has advised Random House on the merger of Random House South Africa and Struik Publishers. The new company, known as Random House Struik (Pty) Ltd, brings together two of South Africa’s most prominent book publishers and creates a significant new player in the African book publishing business.
The Random House Group is a long standing client of Fladgate. The firm has acted on a number of successful transactions for the Group in the past, from the highly successful acquisition of the General Books division of Reed International Books in 1997 to the more recent worldwide partnership with Virgin Books to develop the Virgin Books brand on a global platform.
The Fladgate team was led by corporate partner David Robinson.
We operate in small teams in which partners not only take the lead but also do a significant amount of the detailed work. Clients can be assured that the partners they engage and brief will remain closely involved in developing and delivering the advice as part of our close-knit, expert teams.
