Real estate partner Richard Reuben joins Fladgate

Fladgate LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of real estate partner Richard Reuben. Richard joins from Macfarlanes LLP where he had been a partner since 1988.

Richard specialises in advising on development and regeneration projects, investment sales and purchases and the financing of property deals and those with a significant property element. Richard also has specialist knowledge in relation to property ownership and joint venture structuring. He frequently acts on real estate finance deals, for banks and borrowers.

Richard is ranked as a leading lawyer by the independent guides to the legal profession and his considerable experience will enhance Fladgate’s existing real estate capability.

Commenting on the appointment, Fladgate’s head of real estate Allen Cohen said: “Our relocation to larger premises in Covent Garden has provided the platform from which we can implement our ambitious future growth plans. Richard’s appointment is part of our continuing strategy to identify senior individuals with the expertise to enhance our teams and we are delighted to welcome him to Fladgate.”

Richard Reuben added: “Fladgate has an established reputation within the property sector and offers a natural fit for me. This announcement builds upon other strategic appointments by the firm in 2010 including Jeremy Whiteson, who joined from Forsters, where he was head of corporate and Kim McMurray who joined from Halliwells where she was head of real estate finance.
