Fladgate advises NHP on £22.5m disposal of Kingston Power Station development site

Fladgate LLP has acted for property developer NHP Leisure Developments Limited (NHP) in connection with the sale of part of the former Kingston Power Station site to Redrow Homes Limited (Redrow) for £22.5 million.

The former power station site includes an existing electricity sub-station known as Kingston Heights which NHP has retained, and upon which it has obtained planning permission for a development of social housing, open market residential dwellings and a hotel to be constructed around and above the sub station.

NHP have exchanged contracts with Affinity Sutton Homes Limited for the sale of the social housing and with Redrow for the sale of the private residential dwellings at Kingston Heights.

The first stage of the development of Kingston Heights involving the construction of a concrete enclosure to the sub station has commenced and the development is expected to be completed in late 2013.
