Fladgate LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of litigation partner Sophia Purkis. Sophia has joined from from Kingsley Napley LLP, where she has been a partner since 2003.
Sophia specialises in commercial litigation and civil fraud claims. She has broad experience acting for individuals and companies in commercial disputes particularly for breach of contract and fiduciary duty, where allegations of fraud are made, and in claims between and against shareholders and directors.
Sophia is ranked as a leading lawyer in civil fraud by the independent guides to the legal profession, with the 2011 edition of the Legal 500 commenting: Civil fraud specialist Sophia Purkis has ‘a tenacious approach and an utterly comprehensive grasp of detail in the most factually complex and documentarily voluminous matters’. Her considerable experience will enhance Fladgate’s existing capabilities in these areas.
