Fladgate’s corporate team is strengthened with the appointment of Ian Brent

Fladgate LLP is delighted to announce the appointments of corporate partner Ian Brent and corporate senior associate Melissa Needham from DAC Beachcroft. Ian was previously head of corporate at Davies Arnold Cooper and head of London corporate at Halliwells.

Ian specialises in M&A, investments, shareholder agreements and fundraisings. In his 20 years as a lawyer, he has acted on over 200 acquisitions and sales, many with an international dimension. Ian acts for entrepreneurs and high-growth companies in a broad strategic capacity.

Melissa advises on M&A, investments, reorganisations and general corporate advisory work. She has previously been included in the The Lawyer “New Faces” feature, which profiled 30 of the most talented and promising legal practitioners in the UK.

Commenting on the appointments, Fladgate’s Chairman, Charles Wander said: “Our focused strategic growth has continued during 2013 with a number of successful partner hires. These appointments follow that of construction and projects partner Alan Woolston and corporate partner Marc Sosnow, both of whom joined Fladgate in November. Ian is a well-known and well-respected corporate lawyer and we are delighted to welcome him and Melissa to our firm”.
