Fladgate LLP has advised an off-shore trust in connection with the acquisition of Camden Lock Market from Brockton Capital. This transaction places Camden’s famous Stables Market and Lock Market in single ownership and will enable a major redevelopment of the combined sites to proceed.
Camden Lock Market is a site in excess of one acre, housing over 250 market stalls, more than 50 shops, 20 workshops, together with five food outlets.
The Fladgate team comprised corporate partners Avram Kelman and Amy Collins, corporate senior associate Melissa Needham and corporate associate David Baverstock. Relationship partner, Gideon Dabby-Joory, led on the real estate aspects of the transaction.
Gideon Dabby-Joory commented: “We are pleased to have been able to assist in securing this iconic property for our long-standing client and we look forward to working with the client’s team as they progress their plans to develop this well-known destination into an engaging retail experience with international appeal.”
We operate in small teams in which partners not only take the lead but also do a significant amount of the detailed work. Clients can be assured that the partners they engage and brief will remain closely involved in developing and delivering the advice as part of our close-knit, expert teams.
