Fladgate advises on real estate reorganisation for HPS Investment Partners

Our team: Matthew Williams

Fladgate LLP has advised HPS Investment Partners, LLC (HPS) on the real estate reorganisation arising from the acquisition of the firm from J.P. Morgan Asset Management in March 2016.

HPS is a leading global investment firm with a focus on non-investment grade credit.  It was originally formed as a unit of Highbridge Capital Management, LLC, a subsidiary of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and formerly known as Highbridge Principal Strategies, LLC.  In March 2016, the principals of HPS acquired the firm from J.P. Morgan, which retained Highbridge’s hedge fund strategies.  As of September 2016, HPS has approximately US$33 billion of assets under management.

The Fladgate team was led by real estate partner Matthew Williams, assisted by Jennifer Johnson.
