Fladgate has acted for the UK arm of Spanish company Viandas de Salamanca on its expansion into the UK market. Primarily a wine maker, the company also produces its own olive oils, cheeses and cured meats. It is now embarking on a European roll-out of city centre units which will combine retail shops with delicatessen and tapas-style restaurants.
Fladgate real estate partner James Fry advised the company on the leases for its first two London retail premises in Leadenhall Market, The City and Thurloe Street, South Kensington. James was assisted by real estate senior associate Amanda Hado-Bodfield.
Commenting on the transactions James said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Viandas de Salamanca and look forward to working with them on the roll-out of further units in the UK”.
Fladgate’s leisure team forms a core part of the firm’s business and has a detailed understanding of the leisure property sector, acting for some of the UK’s largest operators of cinemas, museums, health and fitness clubs, public houses, retailers and restaurants.
