Fladgate are delighted to have acted for leading UK infrastructure investor, Equitix, on the acquisition of Crickhowell House (also known as Tŷ Hywel), Cardiff, which is the administrative offices of the Welsh Assembly. The property is let in its entirety to The National Assembly for Wales Commission with a term unexpired of 13 years.
Lead partner on the acquisition, Gavin Whitney, commented that “it was great to be involved in the purchase of this high profile asset for one of the firm’s largest and most well-known clients. This new transaction highlights Equitix’s continuing focus on investment in real estate opportunities with long-dated leases to government-backed counterparties”. Associate Ashleigh Brinklow dealt with the corporate elements of the transaction, and associate Miles Crawford advised on the planning elements.
Client partner, Andrew Bessemer Clark added: “Our corporate and property teams worked hand-in-hand to deliver this deal for the client.”
