Fladgate has acted on the sale of e-learning provider Bolt to private equity firm Aliter Capital. The team, led by corporate partner Ian Brent, acted for the investors in Bolt, a consortium led by serial entrepreneur Tom Fender.
Since launching in 2014, Bolt has become the chosen online learning provider to a large number of blue-chip organisations across multiple sectors. The company set out to disrupt the existing online learning market and scale the business globally. Their digital platform was ranked 8th out of 360 platforms around the world in 2018 and it now trains people in over 20 countries.
Tom Fender commented: “Ian has advised us for over 15 years on many transactions. He provided his normal high level of commercial, practical and legal advice.”
Ian Brent, Corporate Partner, commented: “It was a great pleasure to work with Tom on another successful deal. We wish Aliter the best of luck with taking Bolt further on its journey.”
Turcan Connell provided the legal advice to Bolt. Pinsent Masons acted for Aliter Capital.
