Fladgate has advised the shareholders of Dublin based CareWorks, a provider of case management software for health and social care organisations, on its sale to UK software firm Advanced. Corporate partner Ian Brent led the Fladgate team which included corporate lawyers Ellie Green and Diana Mennie, tax lawyer Anthony Reeves and IT lawyer Muhammed Bhaimohmed.
CareWorks was founded in 1997 and its software is used by over 50,000 care professionals and more than 3 million citizens. It offers a single shared information system for community nurses, mental health workers, social workers and therapists to record the care they provide, while allowing other care providers to access these essential records.
Advanced already provides its services to GPs in Ireland. CareWorks is the first acquisition announced since Advanced received an investment from funds advised by BC Partners, with Vista Equity Partners continuing as an investor.
Fladgate is an 80 partner, multi-specialist law firm which is over 250 years old. Its corporate team has been consistently ranked in the highest tier for M&A deals under £50m.
