Fladgate LLP has advised funds managed by Patron Capital, the pan-European institutional investor focused on property backed investments, on the sale of Luxury Family Hotels to its management team and their backers.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, includes five of its hotels – Woolley Grange, The Ickworth (pictured), New Park Manor, Moonfleet Manor and Fowey Hall. Patron Capital retains the iconic Thornbury Castle Hotel in Bristol, the only Tudor castle hotel in the country, which was once home to Henry VIII and his new bride Anne Boleyn in 1533.
Fladgate separately advised Patron on the sale of a further hotel from the LFH portfolio, The Elms in Worcestershire, in June 2017.
The sale represented another successful transaction for Fladgate’s cross-departmental hotels-focused team.
The Fladgate team was led by real estate partner Gideon Dabby-Joory, working closely with corporate partner Jeremy Whiteson and senior associate Jamie Hamilton, real estate associate Jennifer Johnson, corporate associate Mary Hennessy and trainee Thomas Maw.
