We are looking for an Legal Cashier within the Accounts department. Your role is to be part of the team responsible for the accounts of the firm, in particular dealing with office and client account transactions, bill related receipts and posting of supplier invoices that are matter related in addition to providing cover and support to the billing function. You will ensure that the requirements of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), Anti-Money Laundering legislation, VAT and any statutory regulations are complied with.

The successful candidate will have:

  • strong GCSE and “A” levels, particularly in Maths and English;
  • a minimum of 2 years previous experience of working in a busy law firm dealing with office and client transactions. Previous experience of CMS (Aderant Expert) would be an advantage;
  • strong legal cashiering experience, as well as up-to-date knowledge of SAR;
  • excellent numeracy, communication and time management skills;
  • the ability to work well under pressure;
  • meticulous attention to detail; and
  • the ability to work well within a team environment, with limited supervision.

An ILCA / ILFM qualification would also be advantageous, although not essential.

In addition, you will be a confident communicator with a positive work ethic and the ability to build credible relationships with clients both internal and external. We are looking for an individual who presents themselves with professionalism and polish, who will inspire the confidence of clients and colleagues.
