Bree Taylor is a partner in the litigation department at Fladgate.
She specialises in company and joint venture disputes, fraud and misfeasance claims. Bree has acted on some of the most large-scale and complex litigation in the High Court in recent years including a fraud claim against a major UK bank, a misrepresentation case involving two listed oil and gas companies, a contract claim in the insolvency of a major UK financial institution and a breach of duty claim against the directors of a worldwide manufacturing company.
Bree has acted for a number of directors in defence of misfeasance and breach of duty claims and in regulatory investigations by the FCA, FRC, HMRC and the Pensions Regulator.
Bree recently acted for one of the administrators of MF Global in a case involving the group pension scheme.
She also defended a US listed company in the aviation sector from a claim by the Ministry of Defence.
Bree has been named as a Leading Individual by Chambers UK for many years, which praises her “attention to detail, her ability to get to the point”. Bree is also ranked for Litigation, Banking Litigation and Insolvency with clients having commented she is “savvy” and “always up for the fight”.
She is a fellow of R3 Association of Business Recovery Professionals and a member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association.
Bree was a senior associate in the London office of a large international firm and then a partner at a London law firm for some years before joining Fladgate in 2015.
