David Robinson is head of the corporate department at Fladgate.
He specialises in equity capital markets and in both public company and private company mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
David has acted on numerous IPOs on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market and AIM Market, including dual listings, as well as secondary fundraisings and other transactions for both listed companies and their financial advisers. He has advised on takeovers, both by way of offer and scheme of arrangement.
David’s listed clients include Argo Blockchain plc, Audioboom Group plc, Dev Clever plc, Gfinity plc and Tri-Star Resources plc. A recent deal on which David advised was Hertsford Capital plc’s takeover of aquaculture products developer OTAQ Group Limited and its re-admission to and trading on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market.
David’s private company M&A practice spans many sectors but he has particular experience in publishing (both books and journals) and technology. He acted for Penguin Books Limited on the sale of The Rough Guides Limited and for the major shareholders of QSB Gaming Limited on its sale to Rank Group plc.
David’s expertise in both Flotations: Small & Mid-cap and Media and Entertainment is highlighted by the Legal 500.
He joined Fladgate on qualification and has been a partner since April 2000. He became head of the corporate department in April 2020.
