Elliot Lewis is a partner in the construction and engineering team at Fladgate.

Elliot specialises in UK domestic construction and development, advising clients on all aspects of construction and development including systems of procurements and tendering, drafting and negotiating all forms of building contracts, appointments, warranties, bonds, development management agreements, construction management agreements and associated documents as well as funding and development agreements and informal dispute resolution.

He works closely with the real estate team providing construction input on agreements relating to development and the buying, selling and letting of property.

Elliot has acted for a range of developers and funders undertaking commercial, hotel, residential and mixed use projects throughout the UK and acted on a number of multi-phase of residential and mixed used matters for a number of volume house builders.

Most recently Elliot acting for a developer on a central London missed use scheme which initially involved the sale of the project by way of a corporate purchase working on the construction due diligence and then the drafting and negotiation of the Appointments and Warranties package for the development finance as well as investors into the owner of  the development, drafting Letters of Intent, an enabling works building contract and then a superstructure design and build contract and negotiating the building contracts to ensure single point design responsibility and providing reviews and presentations on the construction and documentation to investors taking equity in the project.

Elliot has experience advising on and negotiating revised procurement structure in the event of Contractor insolvency or delay in delivery of a project.
