Gillian is an experienced construction practitioner who has been advising employers, contract administrators, designers and contractors for many years on the wide range of issues which arise during the course of a construction project.

Acting for all sides of the industry has given her an invaluable insight into the construction process from a contractual point of view. She has considerable experience of advising employers, designers and contractors in both contract drafting and disputes on the full range of standard and bespoke construction contracts and appointments for substantial projects, including the NEC forms and FIDIC. She has a particular expertise in health and safety issues and has advised clients individually and in workshops, both on preventive measures and in reaction to health and safety incidents.

Gillian is an Honorary Fellow of the Association for Project Safety.

Gillian has lectured extensively for many years on a wide range of construction topics and leads practical training workshops on a regular basis. She is the co-author of The Good Practice Guide on Extensions of Time, published by RIBA Enterprises Ltd and a regular contributor to the construction press such as Building.

Gillian is a member of the Liability Panel of the Construction Industry Council, which oversees the work of the BIM Task Group. She is also a member of its Adjudication Board.

Gillian is ranked as a leading individual in construction by the legal directories.
