Helena advises British and overseas families and entrepreneurs who want to structure and protect their wealth, as well as helping them to pass wealth down to the next generation successfully.
Her work includes assisting her clients to reduce their inheritance tax exposure, and structuring asset acquisitions and transfers to minimise tax and achieve family/business objectives. Helena also advises personal representatives and trustees on all aspects of probate and creating and running UK and offshore trusts, and attorneys and families dealing with disability, incapacity and Court of Protection issues.
Helena joined Fladgate from a major London law firm where she was a partner. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Solicitors for the Elderly. In 2013, Helena set up a unique blog (Wealth Lawyer UK) for non-lawyers to share practical tips and insights into her work. She gives conference presentations about her specialisms, often to wealth managers with whom she works closely.
Helena’s expertise in Personal Tax, Trust and Probate is highlighted in the Legal 500 and the Citywealth directory.
