Luke’s clients include a variety of banks, real estate developers and financiers, PE houses, investment funds, HNWIs and family offices and turn-around specialists.
He advises lenders (including banks and other financial institutions), real estate developers and investors, corporates, private equity houses and funds on a broad range of debt financing transactions. This includes investment and development financings, leveraged buyouts, corporate loans, refinancings, recapitalisations and restructurings.
In real estate finance, Luke advises borrowers and lenders on all aspects of development and investment financings on both a syndicated and bilateral basis. This includes advising funds who buy portfolios of property backed loans at a discount and then work them out to achieve profitable returns.
In leveraged finance transactions, Luke acts predominately for a wide range of private equity sponsors and various arrangers of acquisition finance. He has extensive experience in advising on management buyouts and buyins, public to private acquisitions, bolt-ons and bolt-offs and other types of leveraged acquisitions, including cross-border transactions.
He has also acted on a variety of turn-around deals where often the purchaser acquires the debt (usually at a discount) and equity of a business in financial difficulties. He has acted on numerous restructurings, including debt for equity swaps, senior-mezzanine issues and distressed refinancings.
Luke also advises on all aspects of corporate lending and borrowing matters, such as syndicated and bilateral loan facilities, guarantee, security and structuring issues, mezzanine and other subordinated debt and intercreditor issues.
