Mark is a partner in the private capital department at Fladgate.

He specialises in advising individuals, families and trustees on a wide range of complex tax and succession planning issues both onshore and offshore.

Mark advises on a wide range of private client law matters and with particular emphasis on Inheritance Tax and estate planning for domestic and international HNWIs. Mark’s experience encompasses trust & estate administration as well as advising on ATED and CGT related issues in relation to property investment and acquisition.

Mark provides a bespoke and holistic service to his clients – often including generations of families, as well as private individuals, trustees and estates.

Mark has been involved in the re-structuring of an off-shore trust, advising on the trusts inheritance tax liabilities, capital gains tax and stamp duty land tax issues. Assets include residential and commercial property in a number of jurisdictions, including the UK and the Common Reporting Standard. Advising the Family Office on Estate Planning for future generations and Philanthropic ideas.

Mark is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), STEP Philanthropy Advisers Special Interest Group and Solicitors for the Elderly.

He joins Fladgate from Blake Morgan, having started his legal career at Piper Smith Watton LLP where he was Senior Partner.
