Matthew Bennett is a partner in the private client department at Fladgate.

He specialises in both domestic and international estate and tax planning, wills, trusts and succession advice for high net worth families.

Matthew’s clients range from entrepreneurs and company directors to authors and artists. He also advises UK and overseas trustees and other fiduciaries on their responsibilities and on all aspects of trust law.

As an example, Matthew currently advises an international family on both their UK and overseas trusts, on tax planning including for non-domiciled members of the family, and on the tax and other implications arising from the family’s property and corporate holdings.

Matthew is a chartered tax adviser and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He has been recommended as an expert by Chambers UK, Legal 500 and Citywealth. He acts as executor or trustee for many of his clients and is also trustee for a number of charitable trusts.

He trained and qualified in London, working for a leading City firm before moving away from the capital. He joined Fladgate in January 2015.
