Seetal Modi is a partner in the funds, finance and regulatory department at Fladgate.

She specialises in finance and advises on a broad range of loan and capital markets debt secured by real estate, renewable energy and other underlying assets.

She is known in the lending market, among lenders (some are established banks but an increasing number are alternative capital providers, funds or private equity houses), borrowers and arrangers for her expertise in both capital markets funding and syndicated and bilateral lending.

Seetal has a particularly strong reputation in advising on financing renewable energy sources. She has acted on structured finance deals (some of them listed) and asset backed lending deals across the UK and Europe.

Seetal acts for large institutional clients, as well as having a particular interest in assisting younger organisations. She has several years’ experience advising and supporting individuals who have set up on their own and are expanding their business.

An example of her work is advising both the arranger and the bookrunner in relation to a number of solar farm / solar rooftop securitisations (some public listings and some private placements).

Seetal is ranked as a leading lawyer by the independent guides to the legal profession.

She qualified in 2004 and joined Fladgate in 2017.

Prior to joining Fladgate, Seetal was a lawyer for nearly ten years at a large international firm.
