Simon Ekins is a partner in the litigation department at Fladgate.
Simon Ekins joined Fladgate in 1989 after working in the City. He became a partner in 1992 and head of the firm’s dispute resolution department in 2003.
He has wide experience in bringing and defending claims for professional negligence, claims against solicitors and valuers, and acting for accountants (specifically the captive insured for one of the “Big Four” firms); international arbitration in the LCIA and American Arbitration Association; complex commercial cases and breach of contract disputes, shareholder disputes; section 994 petitions; capital reorganisations and reductions; contentious trust matters; variations of trust under the VTA; and IP disputes (including trademarks and copyright).
He also acts for advertising agencies, publishers and a number of well-known public figures in relation to confidentiality, personality rights, copyright, defamation, trademark and passing off cases in various branches of the media including the internet.
He is listed in the Super Lawyers Guide 2013, 2014 and 2015 and recommended by the Legal 500.
He is a member of the Partnership Board.
