I am an experienced litigator with experience providing strategic solutions to a wide range of real estate disputes. I act for landlords, tenants, developers, real estate investment funds and high net worth individuals across commercial and residential property matters.

• Dilapidations – I act for both landlords and tenants on high value dilapidations claims, including where other stakes are at play- (e.g. onerous break conditions), and on complex sites (e.g. successfully acting for a lender in respect of a historic dilapidations dispute concerning an old hospital site).
• Landlord and tenant disputes – I regularly advise landlords on rent recovery, vacant possession strategies and breach of covenant issues. I also act for tenants to enforce landlord’s obligations (including acting for a leading hotel chain to secure the replacement of non-compliant cladding in a prime London location) and to dispute service charges. I have also advised on rent review disputes.
• Nuisance and trespass issues - I have experience acting on behalf of landowners, as well as party wall disputes.
• Rights of Light – I act for neighbouring owners and developers on rights of light issues, including advising potential developers of the risk of such claims in relation to development land and strategy for dealing (e.g. by serving light obstruction notices or negotiating reciprocal releases of rights of light); advising developers on rights of light insurance policies and assisting with continuing compliance (and dealing with any issues in relation to it); and commencing proceedings and documenting settlements in respect of rights of light disputes.
