I am a finance lawyer in the Funds, Finance & Regulatory team and act for both lenders and borrowers on a wide range of financings including real estate investment and development financings, Islamic, leveraged and corporate financings.

I joined the Funds, Finance and Regulatory team in January 2017 and since then have built up a large range of experience across the financing field.

My job is to help our clients achieve the best deal for their business whilst helping them maintain the strong relationships they have with their lending/borrowing counterparts. The key is to be adaptable in an ever-changing financial landscape and one of the parts of my job that I enjoy most is constantly developing my knowledge and learning new ways to best support our clients and deliver the service they need, particularly during uncertain times.

I have an organised and commercial approach to deals and thrive on a pressured timeline to ensure that clients are receiving the best possible service to suit their business needs. I focus on building strong client relationships and working efficiently and proactively with all parties on a deal.

I act for a range of clients, from large financial institutions to those starting out, to hotel development companies, green energy companies and debt funds.

When I am not working, I can usually be found playing the piano, crocheting or baking excessively sugary treats.

We aim to provide clients with practical and commercial legal advice. By drawing upon our understanding of the needs of both borrowers and lenders, we are able to suggest innovative financing structures and anticipate issues in order to identify and solve problems early on.

Our real estate finance team is part of a cross-departmental group of lawyers with wide-ranging experience of working with UK and overseas banks and specialist non-bank lenders, together with investors and developers.

We provide comprehensive advisory and transactional services to our clients. Our lawyers understand the regulatory environment in which both lenders and borrowers operate and the diverse range of financing structures now available.

We provide practical solutions in contentious and non-contentious situations involving financially distressed businesses through our corporate restructuring and insolvency group. The team advises insolvency practitioners, banks, other lending institutions, stakeholders, troubled companies, directors and individuals on a variety of corporate insolvency-related issues.

We advise on all the key issues affecting the property industry, including regeneration and development schemes, investment, funding, construction matters, property disputes, portfolio management, planning, taxation and the creation of corporate structures.
