With sustainability at its core, it's exciting to see our client, KAZAREEN TEXTILE GROUP LTD (KTG), making significant strides in the global textiles sector.
We advised UK-headquartered KAZAREEN TEXTILE GROUP LTD which has operations across multiple countries in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the United States, as well as subsidiaries in Egypt, Germany, France and Canada on a majority investment from Amethis Private Equity. Amethis is an impact-focused private equity firm that prioritises financial, environmental and social sustainability.
This investment marks a major milestone for KTG, supporting its ambitious growth plans by cementing its manufacturing footprint and market positioning in Egypt, as well as the continued operation of Promodoro GmbH, its German fashion brand, and its subsidiaries in Canada and France.
With parties located across multiple jurisdictions we needed to offer guidance on the nuances of English law and coordinate different advisers to manage the complex negotiations.
It’s always a great feeling to help your client achieve its strategic goals and we can’t wait to see what KTG do next.
Our full-service team was led by Partner Alex Kaufmann, with support from Mary Liu, Hamilton Forrest, Jamie Hamilton, Connor Fairbairn, Lucy Senior and Ingrid Hesselbo.
Sam Abboud, CEO of Kazareen Textile Group shared his thoughts about working with the Fladgate team: "It was a real pleasure working with Alex, Mary and the team at Fladgate. The transaction was complex with many jurisdictions and entities involved which Fladgate navigated for us effectively. Fladgate team was available literally 24/7 in order to meet challenging timelines and stayed focused on negotiating the best outcome for us. We look forward to working with Alex and Mary again in the future."
Alex Kaufmann, along with Senior Associate Mary Liu added: “It was a pleasure, as always, to work with the Kazareen team on this fundraising. We wish them and Amethis great success in growing the business and will support them in every way we can going forward.”
