Everyone is online. If you’re not, you’re missing out. The melting pot of AI, the internet, the digital economy and e-commerce continues to create new business opportunities, as well as throwing up a host of challenges for organisations as they try to keep pace with more efficient technology, changing purchasing habits, new business models, changing regulations and growing consumer demand.

We advise on a wide range of online and e-commerce law issues relating to launching, using, developing and migrating to e-business and e-commerce platforms in a way which will help clients grow their businesses and maximise online purchasing trends. We also regularly act on investments, acquisitions and disposals in this space.

We advise clients from a range of sectors including financial services, technology, retail, payment providers, fashion, franchise, gaming and sport on all aspects of maintaining an online platform. Our advice ranges from online transactions, intellectual property rights and their exploitation (including digital content creation and licensing), to contract formation, terms and conditions, linking, framing, revenue sharing, data protection, operational matters and all regulatory issues.

In addition, we have an experienced team who act for a number of Amazon FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) and other e-commerce aggregators, on a range of matters. Our team is also experienced in acting for the owners and sellers of e-commerce brands selling on Amazon, Shopify and other DTC platforms.

We have critical expertise and experience in this area and that means that we are able to provide our clients with practical and commercial advice in an efficient and cost-effective manner, guiding them through a tricky area of the law where technology and commerce meet the online world.

Ability to cut through red tape and give advice that is relevant and practical.
