Our Journey to Net Zero

We have set the target of being a net zero business by 2030.

A key step has been for us to engage with the inspiring group of volunteers at Third Planet Collective to support us on our journey to net zero. We will soon begin training sessions in collaboration with Third Planet Collective to help everyone at Fladgate identify ways to minimise their negative impact on the environment and be as planet-friendly as we possibly can.

Our Journey to Net Zero

We operate a highly flexible, international service from one office – minimising our footprint.

We work continuously to reduce the impact of that office and are already among the 30% lowest-footprint firms in our sector. We build environmental considerations into day-to-day operations, from using eco-friendly cleaning products to recycling obsolete furniture.

Our Journey to Net Zero

We promote flexible and hybrid working to reduce commuting-related emissions, supported by cycle parking, a Cycle2Work scheme, and shower and changing facilities.

We apply strict criteria to international travel and keep it to what is necessary.

What are we doing to minimise our impact?

Our Give Back Initiatives

Our give back initiative looks for individuals to contribute their time, their experience and their support to projects and local initiatives.

Other give back initiatives involve a firm commitment to encourage support in the local community.

Mentoring Partnership

Our mentoring partnership with ORT JUMP Mentoring and IntoUniviersity pairs volunteer mentors from all areas of the firm with young people from low socio-economic backgrounds to support their development and them to be ready for work and increasing their aspiration, employability skills and knowledge of career options and future pathways.

Our Charity Partners

We are proud to partner with Spread A Smile and Grief Encounter, and to support them through collective fundraising over the coming years. Spread A Smile brings joy to seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families, in hospital and at home. Grief Encounter supports children and young people through bereavement.
