I am a specialist in infrastructure projects providing advice on all aspects of PFI projects including working on variations, terminations and assisting on M&A transactions.

I have been with Fladgate for 5 years. I specialise in infrastructure and construction projects. I have been involved in all aspects of the life cycle of an infrastructure project, including drafting project agreements, facility management contracts, construction contracts and providing contract administration advice during the contract period.

I advise both private and public sector bodies on projects including street-lighting projects, student accommodation projects, waste and hospital projects and contracts in the security and defence sector in both primary and secondary markets. I have worked for a range of clients including funders, developers, contractors and consultants.

  • Advising various project companies on streetlight LED upgrades. The upgrade works are all subject to existing PFI schemes for the provision and maintenance of street lighting and illuminated traffic signage.
  • Advised a project company on the termination of a PFI project following service of an authority voluntary termination. Such termination involved the negotiation of a settlement agreement with the local authority and subcontractors and agreeing the repayment of debt with the senior lenders.
  • Acted for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) on the sale of the DSG land business in a regulated tender. DSG is the main provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services of Army vehicles for the MOD, employing approximately 2,400 civilian staff. As part of the transaction, a £900 million 10-year service provision contract was placed with Babcock for the maintenance of the Army’s land vehicles.
  • Acting for a project company in relation to the novation of the sub-contract services during the operational phase of the PFI.
