Nick Wood

Having joined Fladgate in July 2017 after starting my career training, qualifying and practicing at a large international firm in the City, I am proud to have cultivated a reputation for being proactive, creative, and collaborative. I am driven by a commitment to finding pragmatic solutions while protecting my clients by maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

My diverse client base reflects the breadth of my expertise, ranging from real estate private equity firms and investment managers to institutional investors and lenders, smaller property companies and family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. In particular, I serve as a trusted advisor to several mixed-use developers and high-profile occupiers, tailoring solutions to suit their unique needs and objectives.

Outside of work I closely follow the fortunes of Leicester’s football team and England’s cricket team. I also run a church youth group in Brixton and enjoy spending time with my wife and kids.

• Advising the 4C Group on numerous aspects of its large multi-phase development in Aldgate, London, including its joint venture and funding arrangements to bring forward the residential elements of the scheme, and its various joint venture and funding arrangements (including joint venture arrangements with TfL) to bring forward the office and retail elements of the scheme.
• Advising Yoo Capital on various aspects of its proposed “Camden Film Quarter” development in Kentish Town, London, a site that is intended to include a hub for live broadcasting, studio filming, creative office space and a number of homes, including advising on site acquisition and on downstream development joint ventures, such as one with a large housebuilder that will serve as Yoo Capital’s residential delivery partner for the scheme.
• Advising Patron Capital on acquisitions, disposals and asset management matters, including on Arlington Business Park, and more recently on the St Johns Centre in Leeds, a large mixed-use scheme comprising retail, office and leisure space, and a multi-storey car park
• Advising Cohort Capital on the real estate aspects of the refinance of a £175m London mansion, once described as the UK’s most expensive home, for a private Middle Eastern bank.
