I joined Fladgate in 2003 bringing my investment funds and Islamic finance capability. I love working with first time fund managers who are absolute experts in their asset class. They need my help with structuring in the best way possible, to achieve a successful fundraise and an attractive IRR for investors. I always want to know about their ambitions first: when they look back in 5 to 7 years what will be an excellent result for them? When I understand that, I can point out, and help them step round, any pitfalls.

Accomplishing the art of the difficult together with my clients is my aim.
Making sure that the next generation has all the benefits of a first class education is extremely important. I sit on the Council of Clifton College in Bristol, I am an active member of two grant giving educational charities and chaired the PACT Educational Trust board for over 10 years.

As a mother of three, (although I like to think that I have nearly reared two of them!), and in more normal times, I have plenty of ready-made activities. I have been known to cheer so loudly at the side of a rugby pitch that I have made my young companions cry. Looking forward to getting back to the cheering.

• Over the course of 5 years and many transactions, assisting Future Generation and its shareholders with the creation and financing of its “modern digs” vision of student accommodation, including sophisticated Shari’a compliant structuring.
• Acting for Tritax Group in all aspects of various of their large scale logistics investment funds including Enterprise Zone assets with Amazon and Next plc as tenants. These funds been used to seed the Tritax Big Box REIT.
• Structuring, setting up and acting for a multi-billion £ Swiss family office in their creation of a substantial credit fund for swift investment in distressed assets including all GP, LP, custodian, depositary, investment management and carry arrangements.
• Working with The Quarters by Bravo (specialists in high-specification studio accommodation for short and medium term lets with proximity to excellent transport links), in creating their first pan-European fund, structured through Luxembourg, with Credit Suisse entities providing AIFM and Depositary services.
• Assisting Bloomsmith Finance Ltd, experts in funding commercial property related VAT requirements, in both their upstream funding needs and their downstream lending portfolio including Islamic compliant funding scenarios.
