I specialise in finance and advise on a broad range of loan and capital markets debt secured by real estate, renewable energy and other asset classes. I have experience in the lending market, among lenders (some are established banks but an increasing number are alternative capital providers, funds or private equity houses), borrowers and arrangers for her expertise in both capital markets and syndicated and bilateral lending


My job is to help people raise finance or lend against assets, no matter how unusual the asset class nor how challenging the circumstances – I am here to assist you and achieve your aims. My 20 years’ industry experience and proactive, ‘can do’ attitude means that I will always be a valuable member of your advisory team.

I am experienced, engaged, hard working, available, responsive and genuinely lead from the front. My aim from the outset is to understand your needs and pressures and work with you side-by-side to meet those needs and alleviate those pressures – your problem will most definitely become mine until we find a solution.

Outside of work, I love to travel and explore new places. I am a keen hiker and love the English countryside. Cooking for loved ones is a pleasure and I can be found experimenting with new dishes regularly. Above all, I like nothing more than spending time with stimulating company over a bottle of wine – my favourite hobby!


We aim to provide clients with practical and commercial legal advice. By drawing upon our understanding of the needs of both borrowers and lenders, we are able to suggest innovative financing structures and anticipate issues in order to identify and solve problems early on.


Our real estate finance team is part of a cross-departmental group of lawyers with wide-ranging experience of working with UK and overseas banks and specialist non-bank lenders, together with investors and developers.


Through our extensive relationships with law firms around the world, our clients gain access to teams of lawyers worldwide with a deep understanding of the legal issues faced by businesses in the energy and resources sectors. We have particular experience of energy-related transactions in Africa and Eastern Europe.


We provide practical solutions in contentious and non-contentious situations involving financially distressed businesses through our corporate restructuring and insolvency group. The team advises insolvency practitioners, banks, other lending institutions, stakeholders, troubled companies, directors and individuals on a variety of corporate insolvency-related issues.


We have a detailed appreciation of the hotel industry’s dynamics and an understanding of the corporate, commercial, tax, real estate, planning and construction issues that affect businesses in the sector. This enables us to support clients in undertaking a wide range of sophisticated and complex transactions both in the UK and internationally.


We advise secondary and primary-market investors in a range of sectors, PPPs/PFI and asset-backed vehicles we advise investors and contractors on their involvement with PPPs, PFIs and asset-backed vehicles and are experienced in drafting and negotiating appropriate forms of contract (including standard forms) and associated sub-contracts. We also act for a number of investors and contractors on existing renewable energy and battery storage projects, PPPs and PFIs, including advice to investors on the acquisition of portfolios of PFI/ PPP and renewable energy generation assets.


We advise on all the key issues affecting the property industry, including regeneration and development schemes, investment, funding, construction matters, property disputes, portfolio management, planning, taxation and the creation of corporate structures.


We provide comprehensive advisory and transactional services to our clients. Our lawyers understand the regulatory environment in which both lenders and borrowers operate and the diverse range of financing structures now available.



  • Completed a £36m development financing in respect of a prominent building comprising 22 luxury residences in what is said to be one of London’s most recognisable addresses, in the heart of W1.
  • Acted for a listed, Africa-focused oil and gas development, production and exploration company, whose aim is to build a range of diversified producing and development assets on a US$10m murabaha financing, secured on assets across Africa.
  • Advised on a £21m refinancing of a student development block during the height of the pandemic. Challenging complications relating to access and the fact that two neighbouring blocks were housing COVID-infected students were overcome.
  • Advised a Cayman Fund on a £350m enforcement which included obligors and assets across six jurisdictions and three continents.
  • Completed one of the first financings secured on battery storage sites in the UK.
