Emilly Williams

I advise clients in relation to litigation and how to avoid it. I focus on advising private individuals on disputes involving trusts, wills and estates, commercial disputes including fraud, partnership litigation and arbitration, minority shareholder actions, tax litigation and misrepresentation. I have experience advising on areas of marital law such as pre- and post-nuptial agreements and on non-contentious wealth planning and trust matters for a diverse range of clients.

My practice focuses on international trust and estate litigation, including a significant number of breach of fiduciary duty claims and probate disputes. I have advised on matters in the English Courts and internationally in the BVI, Cayman and Liechtenstein.

I am the treasurer of ConTrA (the Contentious Trusts Association), which was founded in 2015 to encourage knowledge sharing and networking between junior associates and barristers and now has in excess of 750 members.

Outside of the office, I am a keen long-distance runner often trying to combine my passion for marathon running and travelling by entering races in far away places.
