Ashleigh Kline

I qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and joined Fladgate as an associate in the corporate team in 2015, becoming a senior associate in 2020.

My particular interest is in private mergers and acquisitions, where I represent buyers and sellers. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of a client’s journey to expand their business or, conversely, helping them to reap the rewards in the sale of their business, and my approach is always to be on hand to provide pragmatic and thoughtful advice to help make that journey as smooth as possible. My transactions often have a cross-border element and span across a variety of sectors, including technology, hospitality and real estate.

Having completed a degree in European Law with German Law from the University of Warwick, which included a year studying at the University of Saarland in Germany, I then went on to work at an international law firm in Düsseldorf. I now put all of these experiences to good use as a member of Fladgate’s German team, advising clients from the German speaking countries on all English law aspects of their business interests in the UK.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring my local Kentish countryside and attempting to survive new home workouts – mainly to counteract my increasingly prevalent baking habit!

• Advising Krantz GmbH (part of the STEAG group) on its acquisition of Krantz Limited, which develops, designs and manufactures air distribution systems, cooling and heating systems.
• Advising Schumacher Packaging Group, one of the largest family-run manufacturers of packaging solutions made from corrugated board and solid board, on its acquisition of Jaffabox Ltd.
• Advising the majority shareholder of Conversio, an ecommerce platform, on its sale to CM Group, a global technology company and the owner of Campaign Monitor.
