About

I am a contentious construction lawyer and regularly deal with resolving complex, multi-party construction disputes through the courts, adjudication, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.

I act for developers, contractors and sub-contractors, professionals in relation to both (i) contractual risk mitigation and the resolution of disputes concerning defects, extensions of time, loss and expense and cladding / fire-safety issues.

I also have experience in relation to professional negligence claims against solicitors, brokers and other advisers and commercial litigation.

Outside of work, I lead an active lifestyle featuring regular muddy dog walks and playing both football and tennis.

  • Acting for a large home builder in relation to fire-safety claims and third-party recovery actions.
  • Defending a complex and high value professional negligence claim via adjudication then court proceedings.
  • Advising in relation to the termination of an insolvent contractor and recoveries under a Performance Bond.
  • Acting for a pension fund in relation to a Remediation Order in the First Tier Tribunal and advising in relation to various third-party recovery options via a Remediation Contribution Order and Building Liability Order.
  • Acting for a home builder in relation to successive adjudications including delay, loss and expense and the final account.
